LISTEN to this radio report

We'll talk about it as part of a discussion on journalism ethics:

http://www.npr.org/2015/04/05/397732034/rolling-stone-report-reveals-systemic-failing-behind-campus-rape-story

(It's about the Rolling Stone article alleging a gang rape on University of Virginia's campus.)

You should be working for the campus newspaper

Below is an appeal from Mr. Klein for students to work at the Campus Carrier. If you're thinking of getting a job in media/journalism/PR, experience at the newspaper will be hugely beneficial.

I got my start at The East Carolinian at ECU in Greenville, NC. Started as a staff writer, then news editor, then managing editor. Had a great time. Went on to work at major and minor news outlets, including the Boston Herald.

Take care,
Dr. Matt

Fall 2014 students, feel free to unsubscribe

Just a heads up -- I'm about to fire up this blog again. So, you may want to unsubscribe from this feed. (Should be an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.) Unless you just want to keep up with the latest events and cool journalism!

As a parting gift, let me leave you with a fun video:

THERE IS NO VIDEO -- AND NOBODY EVEN MENTIONED IT! Bummer.

 Have a great semester!
